Recurrence & evergreen content
Recurrence lets a single piece of content repeat on a schedule — daily, weekly, or at a custom interval — up to a maximum number of repeats. It's the mechanism behind evergreen content: posts that stay valuable and stay in rotation without manual re-scheduling.
How it works
A recurrence rule attaches to a post and describes:
- Interval + unit — e.g. every
7days, or every2weeks. - Max repeats — how many times the rule fires before it goes dormant.
When a recurrence fires, post.buzz creates the next scheduled instance of the post (respecting the account's posting gap and your plan's monthly post allowance) and queues it.
When to use recurrence
- Evergreen tips and CTAs — short, durable posts worth repeating.
- Weekly series — "Feature Friday," "Monday motivation."
- Timeless promotions — recurring links to a flagship product or lead magnet.
Avoid recurrence for time-sensitive content (announcements, news, limited-time offers) — those should be one-off scheduled posts.
Posting sets
For content you want to rotate across a group of channels on a recurring basis, use posting sets. A posting set is a named bundle of channels (for example, "All short-form video channels") that you can target as a unit, so a single recurrence rule fans out to the whole set consistently.
Limits and safety
Recurrence respects the same guardrails as everything else:
- Per-account
minPostGapMinutes— no bursts. - Plan limits — monthly post caps still apply.
- Platform limits — each generated post is validated before publishing.
If a recurrence would exceed a limit, the instance is skipped or held, and the reason is surfaced so you can adjust.
