Goals
A goal is a measurable target for one account: a metric to move, a target value, and a deadline. Goals do two jobs — they keep your own progress honest on the dashboard, and they steer agents toward outcomes instead of just output.
Find them under Automate → Goals. Goals are grouped into Active, Completed, and Past tabs.
Two kinds of goal
- Growth goals — move a number: followers, engagement rate, views/impressions, saves, reach, or comments. Which metrics are offered depends on what the platform actually reports (for example, saves are only offered where they exist).
- Strategy goals — commit to a direction: grow audience, boost engagement, build community, or increase visibility. No target value or deadline — they act as standing steering for agent planning.
Creating a goal
- Pick the account and the goal type.
- Choose the metric (growth) or strategy, and set a target value and deadline (growth goals; deadlines must be today or later).
- Set a priority — standard, high, or top. Higher-priority goals weigh more when an agent ranks its best-performing content, so reserve top priority for the outcome that matters most right now.
You don't have to guess the target: post.buzz suggests one based on your follower count, recent post history, or fixed heuristic assumptions, with a one-click Use suggested. If you aim beyond the suggested ceiling it will say so — you can still commit, but you'll know it's ambitious.
Life of a goal
- Active — tracked live. Measurement state and freshness are shown separately from pace. Progress syncs automatically as insights arrive: followers read the live count; volume metrics (reach, impressions, saves, comments) accumulate from the goal's creation onward; engagement rate is computed over the window. Reaching the target completes the goal automatically when measured before its deadline. Missing data is shown as waiting, not zero.
- Completed — the target was reached. Completed goals are final and read-only.
- Past — the deadline passed before the target was reached. Extend a past goal to set a new deadline and continue where it left off, or let it rest.
- Paused — temporarily excluded from agent planning. Paused goals never auto-expire; resume any time.
Deleting an account deletes its goals with it.
Where goals show up
- The dashboard tracks active goals with progress and an on-track/behind verdict.
- Agents see active goals in every planning prompt and rank their top performers by the goal's metric (weighted by priority). When a goal falls behind pace, the agent pushes a batch of goal-grounded content ideas into the feed — at most one batch per agent per day.
- Ideation — the goal-based switch grounds generated plans in the account's goals and top-performing posts.
- The Insights learning loop flags behind-pace goals as a decision needed.

Understanding progress
Follower progress measures new growth from the starting audience. For example, 10,250 followers toward an 11,000 target, starting at 10,000, is 25% complete. Volume goals use lifetime totals on posts published since the goal began; activity on older posts is excluded, and reach is summed per post. Engagement rate uses engagements divided by reach, preserves decimals, and has no linear pace grade. Data older than 48 hours receives no pace verdict.
Goal details show measurement definitions, baseline, freshness, and new proposals linked to the goal. Review proposals from the existing ideation queue; agent approval rules and limits continue to apply. Account, goal type, and metric are fixed after creation. Create a new goal to measure something else.
